Northwest Gas is a bulk LPG supplier for Northern Ireland and the North West of Ireland. We supply, deliver and install bulk LPG — tank and all. Bulk is not sold through this website; it is quoted and arranged directly.
What we do

Who it is for
The kind of sites that run on bulk LPG: restaurants, takeaways and coffee shops; hotels and guesthouses; care homes; caravan and holiday parks; poultry and livestock houses; farms, workshops and food production; schools and community buildings; and homes with no gas connection.
If you are getting through bottled gas faster than it is convenient to change it, that is usually the point where bulk makes sense. Ring us and we will tell you either way — including if the answer is that you are better off on cylinders.
Why LPG
LPG is the closest off-grid alternative to mains gas. It runs heating, cooking and process equipment, it lights instantly and it holds a steady output, and it does not care that the mains never reached you. For a commercial kitchen it behaves like the gas a chef is already trained on.
Installation
A bulk tank has to go somewhere sensible — access for the tanker, the right distance from buildings and boundaries, and a proper base. We look at the site first and tell you what will actually work, rather than selling you a tank and finding out afterwards.
Tanks can sit above ground or be screened, depending on the site and what you want to look at. We size the tank to what you actually use, so you are not paying to store gas you will not get through, and not running short in January either.
How supply works
Once the tank is in, deliveries are scheduled rather than ordered — we keep you topped up on a pattern that suits how you use it, and you ring us if something changes. A seasonal business and a poultry house have very different curves, and the schedule should match the curve.
Switching from another supplier
If you already have a bulk tank and you are out of contract, changing supplier is usually more straightforward than people expect. In Northern Ireland the arrangements for transferring a tank between suppliers are set by the Competition and Markets Authority. Ring us before you assume you are stuck and we will talk you through where you stand.

Bottled gas is a separate service — we deliver cylinders across Inishowen and Letterkenny, and you can order those online. In Derry, bottled gas is handled by our sister company Foyle Gas.
